Apple Announces New iPad Pro

Apple had announced today their new iPad Pro for 2020. The new iPad brings in new features that are not available on the previous iteration. The first is its chip, it is now using A12Z Bionic chip. They also added an ultra wide camera, and a LiDAR scanner. The LiDAR scanner is used for depth-sensing capabilities that is going to be useful for augemented reality (AR).

The new iPad also sports the updated iPadOS 13.4 which brings trackpad support to iPad. According to Apple, the trackpad does not just copy the experience from macOS but rather optimized it for iPad making it easier to navigate the system without using the touchscreen.

Along with the new iPad Pro, Apple also introduced their new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro. It has a unique floating design that allows the iPad to be adjusted smoothly. It also features  a backlit keyboard and a trackpad.

The new iPad Pro is available to order starting today on apple.com and in the Apple Store app in 30 countries and regions, including the US. iPad Pro will be available in stores starting next week.

The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $799 (US) for the Wi-Fi model and $949 (US) for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model, and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at $999 (US) for the Wi-Fi model and $1,149 (US) for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model from apple.com.
